
Iolo Madoc-Jones
Principal Lecturer
Dr Iolo Madoc-Jones is Principal Lecturer in Criminal Justice at Glyndŵr University and a core member of SIRU. He has a background in probation, and his research expertise and interests focus primarily upon issues relating to the Welsh language, criminal and social justice. He has substantial input into a wide range of SIRU research projects and in 2010 he was awarded a PhD for a thesis that applied the insights of discursive psychology to the study of criminal justice practice with Welsh speakers in Wales. Since 2006 he has been involved in inspecting probation, youth justice and prison services as an Associate Inspector with Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Probation.
