The Centenary Club
Glyndŵr University’s official student bar
Based in the Glyndŵr University Racecourse Stadium, the Centenary Club is the place to be to relax, study and socialise on campus.
Just yards from the Wrexham Village student accommodation, it houses the university’s official student bar with state-of-the-art facilities including plasma screens, pool tables, Wi-Fi and a stage area for live bands, DJs and comedy events.
We worked with students to find out exactly what they wanted from their guild bar, and the club – known affectionately as The Cent – features a food menu of pub favourites, with a designated dining section and a quiet ‘chill-out’ area.
The club has for many years been associated with Wrexham Football Club and its fans, so in creating the new design we incorporated a sporting theme. Football and rugby league supporters still use the bar on match days, and sporting memorabilia and items from the university’s Athletic Union are on display.
