Glyndŵr University has a reputation for excellent research-led teaching.  In order for us to have a vision for the future, we must realise that there must be a sustainable future.  This is why our Science courses are broad, interdisciplinary skill-based degrees where students can develop a variety of skills that are industry relevant.

You will be taught by highly experienced, research-active staff with specialist award-winning track records.  Frequently consulted by their relevant industries, their knowledge is fed back in to the syllabus; Glyndŵr University graduates are up-to-date with the latest techniques and ideas.  Strong academic, theoretical learning is supplemented by hands-on practical experience in modern facilities.

As well as acquiring extensive knowledge, you will also develop a considerable range of transferable skills including research, report writing, critical thinking, problem solving communication, team working, numeracy and mathematical skills and decision making.  Originality in problem solving is fostered through consideration of numerous industrial case studies, lectures from industrial speakers and the option to undertake an industry sponsored research project. 

There will be opportunities for group work which will help you to develop team-working skills, and individual projects to develop self-reliance and practice in project management.  Exposure to workplace practices in real work environments provides our students with skills that are keenly sought after by graduate employers.
