Wrexham offers much to American visitors. In the churchyard of St. Giles is the burial site of Elihu Yale, whose generosity led to the founding of Yale University in the US. The steeple on St. Giles Church (one of the seven wonders of Wales) is replicated on Yale University’s campus.
