At present we have a number of students from Japan who study the following courses:

Tuition Fees

For the first year that you study with us, we will source and provide a place to live and include the cost in your tuition fees.  To find out more about our excellent value tuition and accommodation fees, view Tuition Fees.

Academic Entry requirements

Undergraduate Degree

  • Associate degree/Diploma from a Junior College (Jun-Gakushi)
  • Special Training School Advanced Course Certificate (Senshu gakko Senmon-ka shuryo shosho)
  • Technical Associate degree / diploma from a Special Training College (Senmonshi)
  • Vocational Training Certificate / Diploma (awarded by Vocational Training Colleges of Ministry of Labour)

Postgraduate (Masters)

  • Bachelor degree
  • Postgraduate Diploma

For some postgraduate degrees, we may consider relevant work experience or industry knowledge instead of formal education. Make sure you mention this on your application form and include all supporting evidence. Work certificates and references should include detailed descriptions of your responsibilities.

Postgraduate (MPhil/PhD)

  • Bachelor degree (Shushi)

English entry requirements

If your first language is not English, you must satisfy Glyndwr University’s English language entry requirements to gain admission to our courses. We accept the following English language qualifications at these levels.

Students who are short of these levels by IELTS 1.0 (or equivalent) may be able to study on our EAP (English for Academic Purposes) 8 week course at an additional cost of £1,600 including accommodation.

Students who are short of these levels by IELTS 0.5 (or equivalent) may be able to study on our EAP (English for Academic Purposes) 4 week course at an additional cost of £800.00 including accommodation
