Study at Glyndŵr University

Where tradition meets modern thinking

Tracing its roots back to 1887, Glyndŵr University is named after Owain Glyndŵr - a Welsh hero from the 14th Century. Back then Glyndŵr dreamt of creating international links and great universities. Since achieving university status in 2008, we’ve been making this dream a reality.

Inspiring countryside, vibrant towns

Set against the backdrop of the dramatic mountains of North Wales, Wrexham is a metropolitan town, which offers culture, nightlife and relaxation. Its location and easy access to air, road and rail travel networks also make it the perfect base for exploring the UK and further afield.

International student community

As part of our vibrant international community, you’ll be studying and living with students from all over the world. To help you meet new friends and learn more about Wales and the UK, we organise an exciting schedule of social and cultural events.

Modern secure accommodation

Over the last few years, we’ve invested £40 million in state-of-the-art student accommodation. With a range of options to suit individual needs, all accommodation is either on-site or within walking distance of the university. So you get the chance to experience the community and facilities of campus life.

Supporting your stay here

Our friendly Welfare team are dedicated to making sure everything runs smoothly from the moment you step off the plane.  They will help you get the most from your time in the UK – whether it’s enjoying local culture and customs, finding paid employment, improving your English at our The Language Centre or planning your future career.

If campus life isn’t for you or you would prefer to study in the capital, why not try Glyndŵr University London?
