T8action days
In partnership with Communities First, we host several interactive sessions each year which aim to introduce the varied subjects available for study at university to young people who have lost interest in continuing their education yet still have the ability to benefit from it. Activities have been varied and have included producing a radio show along with scouring a crime scene for evidence. There is time out organised in the Students' Guild and the day concludes with a celebratory meal in our on campus restaurant, 1887. Many previous participants thoroughly enjoyed the day and would like to return: ‘I would like to do more with pottery’ ‘The day was very interesting and quite a lot of fun. Love to come back and do a bit of pottery and football!’ ‘I would like to do some more work in forensic science’ If you are interested in learning more about these visits, please contact us on 01978 293575 or email wideningaccess@glyndwr.ac.uk |
