Money matters
- How much will it cost?
- Can I get any funding to help me pay for my course?
- Can you offer me any advice or help with my finances?
- Will I have time to supplement my income with some part-time work?
How much will it cost?
This depends on various things, including your personal circumstances and the course you choose. We can help you unravel the rules and regulations and work out what it will cost you. Financial assistance is also available; you may even have your fees paid under the Funding Council’s Fee Waiver Scheme. You can find the latest information on course fees on our website, or contact the Student Information Desk if you would like to speak to someone who can advise you.
Can I get any funding to help me pay for my course?
This may be possible, depending on your circumstances. Our website can give you information on different types of financial support, including grants, bursaries and loans. You can also speak to the Student Services team at Glyndŵr University, who can advise you on what funding you may be able to apply for in your particular circumstances. Just contact the Student Information Desk for more information.
Can you offer me any advice or help with my finances?
We offer advice on grants, loans, and all sorts of benefits you may never have known you were entitled to. There are various sources of potential financial support available, and we can help you find out about these. We can also offer you help and advice on how to make the most of your budget if you have any concerns about being able to afford higher education.
Will I have time to supplement my income with some part-time work?
We make it a priority to help our students find work during their time at university, if that’s what they want. Our Job Shop can help you find term-time and/or summer vacation work. This helps you in several ways:
- you get to earn some extra money;
- you get to develop useful work-related skills, if not already in work;
- you get to find out about some of the local companies and other organisations you may want to work for in the future.
Please contact our Careers Centre (via the Student Information Desk) for more information on the Job Shop.
