Wales domiciled students - changes to undergraduate student funding for 2010/11

There have been some significant changes to the Grants and Loans package available for 2010/11 for students who are normally domiciled in Wales. The Tuition Fee Grant previously available to new students during 2009 (and prior to 2009) is no longer available to new entrants in 2010.

There are a number of funding packages which students may be entitled to depending on their personal circumstances, course of study, mode of study etc. Some students do not fully meet residency criteria and/or have previously studied on a course of higher education and so they may not be entitled to any support.

Please contact the Student Funding and Welfare service team for more information. A team of experienced advisors/information officers can guide you through the student funding process. The service also offers students additional welfare support, for example, how to maximise income, advice and guidance regarding debt, budgeting and money management.
