Glyndŵr University website gets a new look

At the end of February 2009 (and just in time for the inauguration of the University) you may notice some changes to the Glyndwr University website.

A team of web professionals, both staff and external consultants, have been working long and hard over the past six months to re-configure the site so that it meets brand guidelines (both written and visual) and better represents the University's entrepreneurial ethos. 

In addition to the new design elements, they have conducted usability lab testing with students; analysed results from surveys completed by staff, students, alumni and other web users; and dissected Google Analytics data to give us a holistic picture of what was working and what wasn't.

The new site responds to recommendations from this research and helps to prioritise information that helps prospective students and other potential and current clients make informed decisions about their university of choice.

Our website is becoming the number one way our stakeholders find information about the University and thus is one of our most important "publications" - over 30% of our current enquirers indicate that a "web search" is the first way they hear about us, far surpassing any other means including word-of-mouth or even local knowledge.
