Jodie Swallow

Jodie is an Honorary Lecturer who qualified as Barrister in 1989 and practiced from Chambers in Chester for 12 years.

She practised as a criminal specialist, prosecuting and defending cases in the Crown Court. Her area of expertise is dealing with cases of sexual abuse especially those involving children, and other offences involving vulnerable witnesses. In 2001 Jodie left her practice to spend more time with her young children.

Since 2002 Jodie has been working as an Honorary Lecturer with our Criminal Justice team bringing considerable expertise from her professional background. She teaches a number of modules including 'Domestic Crime', 'Managing Offenders in the Community' and 'Criminal Law'.
