Manager Tracy's Degree Joy

Tracy Hague has been a housing manager for Wrexham County Borough Council for the last 10 years and has found studying the housing courses at Glyndŵr University really useful in her career. She has now graduated from the BSc (Hons) Housing Studies course.

Tracy, from Erddig, Wrexham said: “I started on the HNC Housing course 5 years ago and have worked my way through the qualifications, right up to degree level.

“The courses are hard work especially as I’m working full-time and have a family to look after too but I have received a lot of support from my family and colleagues which has helped me through. They are all really proud of me.

“My dissertation topic was linked to my current project at work, so that made it interesting and rewarding. I have certainly seen the benefit of keeping my knowledge up to date, as this has helped me to progress and take on new work areas. The courses have also provided a great opportunity to network with people doing similar jobs at other councils across the country which is invaluable.

“I would particularly like to thank my lecturer, Jane Richardson, for her support. Her up-to-date knowledge and professionalism is second to none.”
