Public Lectures

Our public lectures are open to everyone and anyone and are FREE to attend!

The lectures offer an opportunity to hear from some of the most prominent and engaging public speakers in the UK, on topics of everyday interest - from TV and the media to science, sport, politics and education.In 2010 speakers included Johnny Ball, Professor Jeff Forshaw, Shaun Ellis and Dame Jocelyn Bell Burnell.

Other past speakers include Dame Tanni Grey-Thompson, Carol Thatcher and Philippa Forrester.

Glyndŵr University Professorial and Inaugural Lecture Series

The Glyndŵr University Professorial and Inaugural Lecture Series aims to demonstrate and celebrate the academic achievements of the University's professorial staff.

Open to anyone and free to attend, the Professorial and Inaugural Lectures play an important role in bringing leading research and thinking to the wider community for discussion and debate.

All lectures will begin at 7.00pm in the Nick Whitehead Theatre, Glyndŵr University, followed by a small drinks reception where you can meet the speaker and discuss the evening’s topic.
