Glyndŵr University is located in North East Wales, very close to two of the largest industrial estates in Europe and to the largest high-tech factory in Wales (Airbus). The region immediately to the north has been designated as one of the Welsh Government’s new Enterprise Zones, in which special inducements to industrial growth will be provided. This region thus provides massive potential for the expansion of postgraduate study, business and management education.

Glyndŵr University is the fastest-developing university in Wales. Business and Management is an integral part of the university, offering a broad range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Wrexham, London and internationally. The School aims to provide an intellectually challenging and stimulating environment where academics and practitioners work alongside business in a dynamic, highly competitive external environment.

 

The staff also constitute the University Centre for Management Research, which has an emerging research profile, building on international links with higher education institutions around the world. To take the discipline forward and implement the ambitious development strategy of the university a new leader, of professorial status, is sought; in addition, there are vacancies for Lecturers / Senior Lecturers in the key areas of Marketing and Events Management, and in Accounting and Finance, which could be linked to the professorial appointment.
