Glyndŵr University Publication Scheme

Handling requests for information

Charging scheme for Freedom of Information documentation

Glyndŵr University makes information regarding its structures and operation available to the public in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act 2000. To assist you with identifying specific information that you may be interested in we have used the classification scheme described in the right-hand menu. This scheme is known as a ‘Publication Scheme’ under the Freedom of Information Act. A new Publication Scheme was prepared and approved by the Information Commissioner with effect from 1st January 2009.

The University aims to publish all documentation it is required to under the Publication Scheme however information might not be available for a number of reasons:

  • we do not hold the information
  • the information is exempt under one  of the Freedom of Information exemptions, for example, personal information,  information that is in draft form or information would compromise our planning process if it were to be disclosed
  • if information is archived, out of date or otherwise inaccessible

However, we aim to ensure transparency in our activities and will respond positively to your requests as far as possible.

Note

Most of the information listed in the Publication Scheme will be available from the Glyndŵr University website. However, some documents may only be available in hard-copy form, Where this is the case, a small charge will be payable to cover administrative costs such as photocopying and postage.

If you require specific documents identified in our Publication Scheme that are listed as ‘hard copy’, you require specific documents to be provided in a different format, or you have queries about how the Freedom of Information Act applies at Glyndŵr University, please contact:
