About Glyndŵr University
"Staff are always friendly and able to give advice when needed - nothing is too much trouble for them to explain things a bit further."*
Based in Wrexham but with campuses and facilities around North East Wales, Glyndŵr University champions the spirit of enterprise and an outward-facing philosophy. Inspired by Welsh hero Owain Glyndŵr, we aim to be bold, inspiring and enterprising in everything we do.
Our courses are tailored to be relevant to industry and professional applications. We work closely with partners in business including Airbus, the BBC and Active Childcare to ensure our graduates get the skills they need to gain employment.
2010 saw the launch of the Advanced Composite Training and Development Centre, the result of a groundbreaking partnership between the University, Airbus, Deeside College and the Welsh Government. The centre is a prime example of how our partnership approach keeps us at the forefront of advances in technology and skills in key industry sectors.
The University also offers excellent conference facilities and works with businesses to provide staff training and development.
With roots going back to 1887, we have a long history of providing higher education in the region, but with prestigious new centres having launched in 2011 we have our sights firmly set on the future.
Wrexham itself is a vibrant, growing town in an enviable location. It's within easy reach of major cities such as Liverpool and Manchester, while also standing at the gateway to the stunning mountains and seascapes of North Wales.
Glyndŵr University’s courses are in international demand. From London to the Far East, the university is developing a diverse and rich community of learning.
Students joining us can be confident that we are an institution small enough to care, with the international significance to matter.
