Glyndŵr University Sport currently sponsor

This sponsorship supports the junior development of the NETS from U8 – U16’s; also the EBBA Division 2 Senior Basketball Team.

Through SCW Sportlot, WHU entered into a partnership with Glyndŵr University for the build of the international North Wales Regional Hockey Stadium and the development of hockey in North East Wales through the appointment of a Regional Hockey Development Officer.  A Welsh Hockey High Performance Centre is located here with sports science support through the Human Performance Laboratory. We also play host to international hockey events and national training camps.

Through our partnership with the WNA and Wrexham & Flintshire County Councils we underpin the development of netball in schools and clubs within Wrexham & Flintshire.

We are partners within the North Wales Regional Institute of Sport, supporting North Wales elite athletes through facilities, opportunities and sports science support

Through partnership with SCW Sportlot scheme all facilities at the University were built, hall and artificial pitch in 1999 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Glyndŵr University,  then in 2006 the North Wales Regional Hockey Stadium

Through the SCW, Healthy Workplace Scheme we are currently partners in our ActiveStaff workplace activity programme.

Through SCW and Local Authority Partnership Agreements we are partners in the employment of development officers in hockey, netball and basketball.

Our Sports Development Team work within Wrexham schools and sports clubs in partnership with Wrexham Sports & Fitness Team in hockey, netball and basketball.

Our Sports Development Team work within Flintshire schools and sports clubs in partnership with Sport Flintshire in hockey, netball and basketball.

Our Sports Development Team work within Denbighshire schools and sports clubs in partnership with their Sports Development Team in hockey and basketball.
