The Library Service at Glyndŵr University offers books, journals, video, multimedia and electronic resources in a wide range of subjects to support your programme requirements and beyond. Our aim is to provide a quality customer service to support you in finding your way around the growing and often confusing world of information.

In addition to these services we are part of a wider information network, this includes -

  • The interlibrary loan and document supply network through which we can supply books, reports, articles, theses, etc. from the British Library and other libraries both nationally and internationally.

  • An opportunity to access and borrow from other UK libraries for staff and students:

SCONUL Access is the new programme which has amalgamated the old UK Libraries Plus and SCONUL Research Extra schemes.

SCONUL Access means that any member of Glyndŵr University staff or research postgraduates can apply to access or borrow from most other UK university libraries. It also enables access and lending for all postgraduates and part time, placement or distance learning undergraduates. For more information go to http://www.access.sconul.ac.uk

By filling in a form at the Library Desk we will be able to issue you with a SCONUL Access card straight away.

Don’t forget you can check the availability of items at many other university libraries by using the Copac Academic & National Library Catalogue at http://www.copac.ac.uk

  • The National Library of Wales in Aberystwyth which provides reference access to all printed material published in the UK as well as being a major archive and cultural centre in Wales http://www.llgc.org.uk
