Work Placements
The Careers Centre at
Glyndŵr University operates a
work experience programme, via GO Wales, which offers opportunities for students and graduates to help you fulfill your potential and become valuable employees.

GO Wales Work Placements are paid periods of quality work experience.
·
They normally last around 10 weeks and are full-time, however, more flexible arrangements are available.
·
Placements are proven to improve your chances of getting the job you want after graduation.
·
For a few weeks or months a student or graduate works in a business or organisation, bringing new expertise and experience to the work-place

Work Tasters

Work Tasters are short, flexible, unpaid periods of work experience designed to help undergraduates and graduates gain experience of working in a particular business sector or career.

Work Tasters have been designed to assist undergraduates studying in
Wales to gain quality work experience of their chosen career.
·
We match University students and graduates with local organisations for periods of experience lasting between 1 day and a few weeks.

Alex talked about the benefits of her Health and Safety work placement through the Go Wales scheme, operated via Glyndŵr University Careers Centre.....“My placement has given me valuable experience of working in a small organisation and taught me about my personality and how I fit into a team. This experience has set me in good stead for my last year of study and my future within the profession.”
