About the Careers Centre at Glyndwr University

The Careers Centre at Glyndŵr University provides impartial and professional careers information, advice and guidance for students, graduates, employers and staff.

Our services:

  • Careers Advice - access to careers guidance interviews with a Careers Adviser and also EGuidance
  • Jobshop - located in the Students’ Guild building, advertising graduate jobs, part-time jobs, vacation work, voluntary work, internships and placements
  • Work Experience Placements - access to 6-10 week paid work placements
  • Work Tasters - unpaid work experience via the Go Wales programme
  • Graduate Support - specific support offered to graduates
  • Events - coach trips to graduate fairs; employer presentations and interviews
  • Free CV and application checking service - have your CV or application form checked to make sure you are presenting yourself in the best possible way to employers
  • Interview preparation - help with interview technique on a one-to-one basis and we can also run mock interviews
  • Free computer and telephone facilities
  • Extensive Careers Information Library - reference files, guides, books, videos, free publications and leaflets
  • Local newspapers with job vacancies
  • Employment and opportunity preparation sessions
  • Practice Psychometric Tests
